Our San Diego technicians are full-time in-house employees who are knowledgeable, certified, and who participate in continued training. We are ready to ensure your system is functioning to its maximum potential. We offer three service packages that can also be acquired a la carte.
There are instances, even outside of the solar system, where upgrades may become necessary. One recent example was the 3G network shut-down/phase-out and the switch to 4G and 5G networks. Older systems that use 3G network communication now need a communication computer (DAS monitoring system) upgrade to bring the system’s monitoring back online. Sometimes it’s the simple, small things that just need a little attention to keep a system at its full functionality, performance, and output.
We can retrofit current and available equipment to older systems to maintain the system’s capacity and extend the life of your energy investment.
For systems that are located outside of the greater San Diego area, we will sometimes contract with our trusted partner, Omnidian, to get highly-qualified techs on-site more quickly to evaluate and resolve any system issues.
Preventative maintenance is a smart way to avoid any system down-time as well as catch potential problems early. Our Service technicians are available to evaluate and assess your solar or energy storage system and make any needed or recommended adjustments, repairs, or component replacements.
We offer Service packages from one-year up to five-year terms. Our top package includes an annual assessment report and up to four service visits per year for your solar system.
If the issue cannot be addressed in that site visit, or requires equipment replacement that is out of warranty, our service department will give you, while on site, an estimate on time and materials to complete the repair.
All of our Services are available in packaged bundles or ‘a la carte.’ We are ready to respond, diagnose, and repair your system when you have a problem or concern. For existing systems that are not currently on an HES Renewables Service plan, a system assessment is required to validate all equipment and ensure the system is performing properly before we can offer a service package for future coverage.
A regular cycle of rain will keep most solar panel arrays clean and performing properly. In Southern California, in spite of some recent years of heavy precipitation, you don’t want to rely on rain to keep your system running at its peak output.
Some environments, such as those with high levels of dust, tree sap, tree leaves, bird droppings, etc., can make regular or seasonal panel cleaning a smart way to increase your solar system’s performance.
Panel cleaning costs vary by system size and panel access. We’d love to talk about costs and frequency recommendations for your specific system.
We offer various levels of monitoring for HES Renewables systems as well as systems that we did not design and build. These monitoring levels include:
This measures the entire system output at the meter. This allows owners to check output in real time.
This is an additional service on older, retrofitted systems and is standard on modern systems. Like the name implies, this monitoring system is designed to alert the owner to a problem once detected.
This monitoring runs reports for production and to isolate faults. This provides the capability to speed any needed repairs by allowing us to diagnose and, if applicable, quote a repair cost prior to a site visit.
We have another component to metering that allows on-demand as well as annual reports to chart your system’s past and current performance.
