Mira Apartments: Absorbing, Not Reflecting, Sunshine

Commercial Case Study

Mira Apartments
Canoga Park, CA

Challenge

Mira Apartments in Canoga Park, California offers 170 apartment units in 1- and 2-bedroom as well as studio floor plans. North Coast Living manages the property that was looking to reduce and stabilize energy costs. The six-floor building’s unique rooftop didn’t allow for a single, large array.

Solution

HES Solar designed a multi-array system built to maximize space available to capture California sunshine. The design allowed 286 SunPower E 330 panels to feed 94kW of solar energy through SMA inverters.

Customer Benefit

The solar system’s panels combine to produce an estimated 144,540 kWh per year and are expected to save over half a million dollars in energy bills over the first 25 years of energy production. The high-quality components bring industry-leading reliability and warranty coverage, ensuring the project delivers on the cost-saving investment.
